Adrianne Washington, Founder & CEO Black & Blue Cosmetics is for women of all ages and skin tones who want to go through life looking and feeling radiant. |
Adrianne Washington was discovered by a local fashion designer in Harlem before graduating from Brooklyn Tech and was encouraged to enter a model of the year competition. She won the title and a trip to Paris, France. Washington quickly embarked upon what would become an ultra-successful career in modeling at the tender age of 18. She has worked for modeling agencies in the United States and Europe including Click, Bethann Mgt, Zoli and Why Not in Milan and for some of the most prestigious beauty companies; Clairol, Dark and Lovely, Revlon, and Black Radiance Cosmetics. While working as a runway model in the United States for Issey Miyake, Yeohlee, Christian Dior, Willi Smith, Nordstroms, Go Silk and Byron Lars, she also appeared in Essence Magazine, Esquire (for Willi Wear), Modern Bride and several fashion publications. In 2008, she appeared on a guest panel for the Tyra Banks Show, "Stripper's Summit", to speak against the Exploitation of Women and currently modeled on BET's RIP The Runway for designer Douglas Says' Plus-U Collection. Her cosmetics line was also seen on the VOLORA SHOW, which recently aired on BET J. Currently, she is a freelance makeup artist (having worked for several high end makeup companies for over 10 years) as well as a modeling instructor, producer of the Diva Pageant and manager of Wave Model Mgt. and The Black & Blue Team. The Diva Pageant, whose winners perform for cancer patients at local hospitals, along with the creation of the cosmetics line, has been one of her greatest accomplishments. In 2006, she won an Humanitarian Award for her efforts. Stay tuned for her up and coming lifestyle website called "All About Adam and Eve" for spiritual men and women over 40 who love God and want to enjoy life. Special thanks to Quietfire for his artistry, creative vision and friendship. Love Always!
